A group that works to overcome discrimination and hardship faced by mixed-race children in Russia. December 16th - A Christmas Celebration – 16:00 at the Central Children’s Russian Library, Oktyabrskaya Square, #1. We are looking for sponsors: we need money to invite some artists, and to buy presents. Our children can perform songs and poetry, but we don’t have a teacher who will lead them. Moscow International Choir
The Moscow International Choir will be holding its Christmas concerts on the 5th and 12th of December at 19:30 at the Anglican Church on Voskresenky Pereulok. This year's concert will include Benjamin Britten's "Ceremony of Carols" along with more traditional carols from around the world. Tickets cost 300 Rubles and proceeds go towards Life-Line charity. St Catherine’s Church
December 1st – a prayer service for victims living with HIV/AIDS to be held at St Catherine the Great Martyr Church. Starts at 10:00 and will be conducted in both English and Church Slavonic. Following the service there will be a lecture by an individual living with HIV/AIDS and the difficulties that he faces in daily life. We encourage all to attend this important event. The International Women’s Club of Moscow will hold its Newcomers Coffee Morning on December 5th at the Hard Rock Cafe on Stary Arbat from 10.00 -12:00. Newcomers and old members are welcome.
American Women Organization
The AWO of Moscow has over 200 members and assists expat women adapt to life in Moscow through social, cultural and educational activities. The club also supports charitable organizations in Moscow. Australian and New Zealand Social Women’s Group (Auski’s)
The Auski group meets at least once a month for lunch, usually on the second Wednesday, or whatever date is most convenient for whoever is hosting. Primarily a social support group, we are a relatively small but very social and welcoming group. The Auski group is open to all Australian and New Zealand citizens and their spouses.
