Philippine Ambassador and spouse make donation to Peter the Great Museum of Anthropology

The Philippine Embassy in Moscow, Russia announced on 25 October that the Philippine Ambassador to the Russian Federation and his spouse, Connie, had paid an official visit to the Peter the Great Museum of Anthropology and Ethnography (The Kunstkamera) in St. Petersburg on 19 October and donated Philippine national costumes, a Terno and a Barong Tagalog, to the Museum’s authorities led by Director Prof. Dr. Yuri Chistov.

The Philippine national costumes are the personal items of the Ambassador and his spouse, Concepcion Guanzon-Garcia.

In a brief hand-over ceremony held at the Director’s Office, Ambassador Garcia said that he and his spouse, Connie, were making the personal donation to commemorate the 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Philippines and the Russian Federation. In response, Kunstkamera Director Chistov thanked the Ambassador and his spouse for their personal donation and said the Philippine national costumes would enhance the Museum’s collection of Philippine native items.
